Framing Action

This is my framing and action photo. I took this using landscape mode. It is an ineffective photo because the action was blurry. I should've upped the shutter speed. I used ISO 400, and shutter speed of 1/8, and f-stop of 4.0. I could've taken a better photograph.

Studio Work

This photo was taken with the studio lights and a stencil of a heart. I cropped the photo so you could see the heart in his eyes better. I didn't use flash because using flash would have ruined the photograph. I used an ISO of 1600 because the room was very dark. I also used an f-stop of 4.8. This is an effective photo because I was able to capture the heart shape stencil in his pupil.

Flower...

This photograph was taken with Landscape mode, with a f-stop of 10, and ISO 1600. I liked how the dandelion was in contrast with the grass in the background.

Bugs / Pattern

The other day, we were assigned to take photos of bugs using pattern as the composition. The main focus for me, was to take pictures of a bug. Even though this doesn't follow the 'Pattern" composition, I am very fond of this photograph. I took multiple shots of the fly, and didn't realized that I took a photo of the fly eating something, and this was when the fly was done eating something. This photograph was taken on landscape mode, f-stop of 5.6, ISO 1600. I used a higher ISO because the area where I was in while taking this picture in was pretty shady.

Adults/ Leading Lines

For the assignment the other day, we were required to take photographs of adults while using the composition of leading lines. This was an effective photograph because I used the curved pathway as leading lines, that led to the security guards at the end of the path. Also, the chain gates  can be used to help focus the viewer towards the center of the photograph. This photograph was taken on landscape mode, f-stop of 10, ISO 1600. I used a high ISO at the time because there was an overcast outside.

Sky / Symmetry

This photo was taken with landscape mode, f-stop of 20, ISO 1600, and shutter speed of 1/1600. I decided to take the picture of the front of the school and look up at the top entrance of the building. Since the assignment was to have symmetry and the sky in the photo, I decided to be creative and  use the sky as a background as I took a photograph of something symmetrical.

3 Compositions in 1 Photo

This is an effective photograph because it goes with the assignment's criteria. I was able to use three different photo compositions: rule of third, perspective,  and contrast. I took this photo on landscape mode, with an ISO 800, f-stop of 10, and shutter speed of 1/200. I used a high ISO because the area of where I captured the photo was dark due to shading. For perspective, I decided to take it from the side rather than looking straight at it so it isn't boring. All together, I think this is a very effective photograph.

Light Box Part 2!

This is a better quality light box photograph that I took the other day. It came out absolutely stunning, in my opinion! I think it came out more effective because of the contrast from the object and the backdrop. It was taken with ISO 400, f-stop of 4.5, and a shutter speed of 1/20. This is a very effective photograph mainly because of the contrast between the tennis ball and the backdrop!
